The SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency, a sort of anti-mafia English) conducted a survey according to which the € 500 notes are mainly used in business transactions and illegal. It
estimated that only 10% of transactions made with banknotes of this cut is originated in legal operations.
This is not trivial if you think about it: in Europe have been printed 464 million € 500 notes, this means that there are outstanding of € 232 billion in this format. Suppose that in each of the 27 United States of Europe there are around the same amount of notes (even if not formally sleeve over the euro, however, it will run a lot), this means that in England there will be 17.1 million pieces from 500 €, of which 15.3 will be used for shady deals ...
"Wow!" exclaims Howl! And after being stunned for 30 seconds to ask: what need to do a banknote with a value of 1 million old lira? Would not it be smarter to do business and a € 2 so as to give them a value of "psychological" Major?
