Strap A Mattress To Roof Rack

More than CASTA is above all a COST

Today the sign is still in Parliament. And more precisely, the notorious cost of politics.
Howl does not intend to broaden the discourse to indirect influences, with bribes, contributions from individuals and so on. etc.. but want to talk about the cost net Italian parliamentarians to represent this country.
stop here because it is the current proposal to cut 5% of the salary of parliamentarians. Yet no one has bothered to explain to those euro, in practice, this percentage amounts.

Let's start with a fact: the Italian parliamentarians are the highest paid in Europe. Each one gets almost 150 000 euro per year. It 's just an average, because the deputies take a little' less senators and a little more.
To make a comparison of annual salaries received by parliamentarians from other European countries just take a look at this list.

- Netherlands
85,000 - 84,000
Germany - Ireland
82,000 - 68,000
Greece - 63,000 France
- Sweden
57,000 - 35,000
Spain - Poland 7500

But talk of parliament of our country . Let's see how they come to feel almost 300 million old lira. In the notorious sum includes:
- A monthly allowance of 4,000 € and change for the stay in Rome. This allowance is reduced by € 205 absent for the meetings of parliament providing for a vote. Consider that it is sufficient to take part in at least 30% of votazini of that day, to be considered present. Think you could go to work, punch, make 30% of the working day and still take the full salary. Fantastic!
- A monthly repayment of € 4,100 and was paid, flat rate and through their parliamentary groups, for costs relating to the relationship between elected and electors . In practice, the state gives money to those who are elected to do so it will be re-elected ... In theory it should be an elected representative of all the people and not just those who elected him.
- € 1000 per month and stands for moving expenses from his residence to the nearest airport (provided that is at least 100 km), and other € 3,100 per annum for any foreign travel .
- 3,000 € per year and small change for telephone charges .

addition to this "stipendiuccio" each Member has the following privileges :
- check end-of . Everyone pays into a fund for 6.7% of the gross. At the end of the mandate of the deputy for nearly 80% of gross monthly allowance for each year of actual mandate.
- living allowance. It follows a similar system to that used for calculating the allowance at the end of term, but is set aside a sum equal to 8, 6% of the gross. The MP receives the check when more than 60 years of age and is not re-elected to Parliament or the European Parliament. The amount of the allowance varies from 25 to 80% of the parliamentary allowance. Note that the annuity is not a pension, so you combined with other forms of pensions and private pensions.
- card that guarantees free access to cinemas, bus, gym, swimming pool, underground railways and theater. In addition, each member is guaranteed the infamous autoblu with driver.

Howl apologizes of all these numbers, but be sure that your dissent more dependent on their size, which by their utterance. But let's sum up.

Our dear Italian Parliament is composed of 945 members of senators and deputies. Considering only the compensation (average) annual gross payable to each Member, excluding the above-mentioned privileges, Italy spends a total of 141,750,000 for them. (150,000 x € 945).
tidy sum!

The 5% cut in salaries, however, would be calculated net of the monthly allowance, without considering the various additions for travel, phone calls etc.. For each parliamentary
the average net benefit is 5,400 euro per month, which translates into € 64,800 a year.
It follows that each year net of allowance for MPs is being spent € 61,236,000.

E 'from these € 61,236,000 be calculated that the reduction of 5% proposed by the government, which would amount to € 3,061,800 (for convenience Howl has calculated this percentage on the total amount of the allowance) .

cutting the salaries of parliamentarians of 5% would save 3 million to € 141. Howl think those 3 million should not be the amount to be cut back to our "poor" MPs, but rather the total amount by which a salary. In short, € 3,240 per annum and a sum of money more than enough for each of our "representative". Please note that each member not only retained his job, but it is also eligible for other institutional offices and has no constraints on the number of times you can be elected to Parliament.

As we said Beppe Grillo, and not only him, the parliamentarians are our employees! No employee take more money from his employer!
